Custom Staircase Guard Rails0

Custom staircase handrailsSteptoe and Wife (don’t ask me) has a new crop of beautiful custom handrails designed for luxury homes, offices and hotels. When I was at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, they had railings similar to the ones pictured.

Obviously these are beautiful and functional hand rails. These particular guard rails are from the Chanel Boutique in Toronto, Ontario.

These rails are elegant and completely custom. They were designer created and completely installed using fabricated parts, nothing stock was used at the Chanel Boutique.

The design speaks for itself and the quality is spoken for by Steptoe’s many clients.

As Steptoe says, they are “100 years behind the times”, in terms of quality and design.

Smoke Detector Battery Change0

Time to change those smoke detector batteries! May and November is a good schedule and is usually pretty easy to remember.

I remember because May is about the time I first turn on my A/C and November is near the time I first turn on my heater in the house.

Don’t forget to change your smoke detector batteries, for many people it is an unfortunate and easy to forget maintenance item.

Replace Your Smoke Detector Batteries0

This is just a simple courtesy reminder that you need to replace your smoke detector batteries on a regular interval.

I change mine twice a year. I replace them the first time I have to turn the air conditioner on for the first time, then again when I have to turn the heater on for the first time.

You might want to use a calendar to remind you…New Years and the beginning of summer. Whatever helps you remember, but don’t forget!smokedetector.jpeg

Most smoke detectors use 9-volt batteries, so make sure you have a few on hand.
