If you live near a forest, or even near a wooded area, it has happened to you. Deer. Ya, they are cute and Bambi’s mom shouldn’t have died in a kids movie, but what do you do when they start eating everything including your flowers and bushes you just bought from Home Depot?
You only have two choices.
1. Kill them. Not legal in all areas, and not recommended shooting your gun in your backyard.
2. Encourage them to leave. You can do this “encouraging” with a quick and hard blast of non-lethal water.
AwesomeTools.com has an awesome tool (sorry, lack of creativity) that does just that. It’s called the Scarecrow Sprinkler and is available for $74.95.
The Scarecrow Sprinkler detects movement then shoots water at that movement. At AwesomeTools’ website they have a cool video showing the SS in action.
From the image below you can see the after effects of the Sprinkler.

As I prepare to have my first child in May, I’ve been looking into making my home more secure. My wife said we need to install those plugs over the wall sockets, and that is a great idea, but what else could we be doing?
I found these while shopping at Frontgate.com. They are steel cabinets made for the garage, but they have a lock on the outside. While cabinets with doors may not be very convenient because you can’t see into them without opening those doors, check these out.
They have a steel frame with screen doors so you can easily see what is inside before you get the key and open the door. These are especially great for those young boys who like to see what dad is doing in the garage.
This type of cabinet may not be ideal for every cabinet in the garage, but you should always keep spray paint, acetone, paint thinner, and any other potentially hazardous chemicals locked away, and out of reach for curious kids. Lock those doors and protect your kids!
BusinessWeek had a great article about “Man Caves” which your garage can become.

File this under “Odd”, this table is $4500 and most people wouldn’t give it a second thought at a yard sale! As you can see from the picture, Citizen:Citizen has made this ugly unique piece of junk furniture for the über-trendy.
However, if you aren’t this trendy, you will keep $4500 in your wallet and this thing out of your house, which I think is a steal of a deal.
If you can’t see from the picture, the side of the box says, “Fragile do not drop”. The “designer” of this piece is FredriksonStallard.
According to the site, the measurements for this table are 15″ H x 39″ W x 14′ D. It doesn’t exactly look 14 feet long, but maybe the picture is deceiving.
For more information, or to place an order go to https://www.citizen-citizen.com then see a Optometrist.
